Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born on August 9th, 1976 from Beaumont Puy in Domme. The actress was inspired by her parents, a dentist and a teacher and both of them were teachers. They encouraged her to pursue her interest in acting. This contrasted her earlier ambition to pursue a career as a primateologist since she adored monkeys. It was a quick rise for her to become a famous young actor. When she first began an acting career she participated in Jeunes Premiers an French television show that sought to find talent that was sponsored by Canal+ in 1998. She also won the title of Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Tautou was a member of the church as well as the Institut Catholique de Paris during her childhood, but she now dissociates herself from these upbringings. In addition to her acting career, she pursued a modeling career. Also, she is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and often called The Chanel Muse. Her photography is also a obsession and she was recently shown her work at the Arles festival, under the title Superficial. Her photos are mostly about fame and celebrity. They also feature a collection of self portraits in addition. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and global fame after her first big role, starring as the lead in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie made international waves in the field of box office, and won awards around all over the world. Amelie was the highest-rated French-language film in the US. Later, in the same year, she starred in British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. In the following year, she moved to Hollywood in the United States, where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
